Yes I know I'm only doing Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn but once in a while I may have reviews of restaurants in Staten Island, Long Island and the Bronx and maybe elsewhere.  Don't worry, everything shall be  tagged accordingly.

Some basic info

City Island is a small area in the Bronx, known for all their seafood restaurants.  In April for my mom's birthday we were gonna go to this expensive one that my parents tried on their own, but I looked it up, and it was pretty pricey for dinner...and there was gonna be six of us...they went for lunch which was cheaper and only the two of them plus my sister.  So searched for any other restaurant in the area, found Crab Shanty, Yelped it, and suggested it.  I have no regrets on the choosing the place, but as I look back at it now...considering I am slowly still in the process of getting over my pickiness (to be honest though I'm almost beyond the average eater level), I regret not getting crab.  But you know, I still did get something from the sea, so I don't feel too bad.

One thing I like about this restaurant, the alcoholic drinks on their menu are priced.  It annoys me when you look at the drink menu and you don't know how much they are and it also gives the impression they are trying to rob you of your money.

Drink:
Banana Daquiri, $9- not really strong but nice banana flavor.  Next time though I'll go for the virgin version.  Usually if I order an  alcoholic drink, I want it to be a bit strong (but not so strong that all you taste is alcohol and nothing else).

Food:
Farm Striped Bass, $16.95- Love it.  It tasted similar to tilapia but much better/tastier....because to be honest I'm not fond of tilapia.  The only thing I didn't like was that I had to pick the meat out of the bones.  Fish came with a house salad which was good like any other normal salad, baked potato, which was also average, and we all had garlic bread, which was good too.
Pecan Pie, $4.50- Delicious and sweet but not too rich.  Just comforting.  Sadly...I didn't take a picture of it =(

Would I come here again?  Maybe, but first I gotta try the other restaurants in the area.  It is pretty good.  Good food for reasonable prices in a cozy, warm, family-like atmosphere, so I can't complain.
